BIBLICAL TRUTH REGARDING SALVATION:

ALL STAND GUILTY BEFORE GOD IN NEED OF SALVATION FROM SIN

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8)

All unrighteousness is sin.... (1 John 5:17)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned-- (Romans 5:12)

So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men (Romans 5:18)

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY OF SALVATION FROM SIN: THROUGH CHRIST

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15)

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, {2} by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. {3} For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, {4} and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

And when you were dead in your transgressions ...... He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, {14} having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. (Colossians 2:13-14)

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

JESUS CHRIST CALLS ALL MEN TO HIMSELF

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. {29} "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. {30} "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; {40} and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life. (John 5:39-40)

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst....... {37} "All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. {40} "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." (John 6:35-40)

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20)

ALL ARE CALLED TO REPENT AND BELIEVE

He (Jesus) said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; {47} and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. (Luke 24:46-47)

And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. {17} "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. {18} "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

ALL ARE CALLED TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND LORD

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, (John 1:12)

And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. (1 John 4:14)

"...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; (Romans 10:9)

ALL ARE SAVED BY FAITH AS A GIFT FROM GOD NOT BY WORKS

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; {9} not as a result of works, that no one should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, {5} He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy (Titus 3:4-5)

Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. {28} For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. (Romans 3:27-28)

GOD DESIRES ALL MEN TO BE SAVED

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, {4} who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Jesus said "..... the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. (John 6:37)

BIBLICAL WARNINGS ABOUT NOT BELIEVING AND REPENTING

And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ (1 John 3:23)

"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:36)

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? {5} But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God (Romans 2:4-5)

"... the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, {8} dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. {9} And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)

THE WAY OF PERSONAL SALVATION FROM SIN

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. (John 14:6)

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" {31} And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:30-31)

.... if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; {10} for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. {11} For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." {12} For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; {13} for,

"WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
(Romans 10:9-13)
