"All
Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy
3:16)
In the Bible we are provided by God with the information necessary to
understand the true nature of this life. Many call this knowledge a Biblical
world view. We learn that God created this world a beautiful place declaring
that everything He created was very good. Man was free to pursue the plans
and purposes God had ordained for him and to enjoy every good thing that
God had prepared for him. Man was responsible to obey God's commandments
given for his good and that of his neighbor. Tragically, we learn in the
Bible that the first man and woman broke God's commandment bringing separation
from God, judgment, condemnation and death upon themselves and the whole
creation. The alienation from God that we experience now, the pain and
suffering we endure, the trials and tribulations which we encounter, the
conflicts we experience within ourselves because of our sinful human natures,
and finally the certain death that we face can all be attributed to this
darkest hour of human history.
