God's Power

Now God has not only raised the Lord, but will also raise us up through His power.
(1 Corinthians 6:14)

The Bible teaches that three days after Jesus was crucified that God brought Him back to life again and after appearing to more than five hundred of His followers over a period of 40 days that Jesus was taken into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God. The empty tomb pictures the hope of every Christian to be raised from the dead by the power of God and to live with Him forever. This is made possible because God in His love for us has made provision for our redemption - the forgiveness of our sins. The empty tomb reminds us that Christianity is more than just a religion. True Christianity is a personal relationship with a risen and living Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus also demonstrates the power of God that is still available for us today to begin to live a brand new life through faith in Christ. Right now we can become empowered by God to overcome our weakness and sin and to be victorious in all the battles of this life including the final battle with man's greatest enemy death.
