The Gospel

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes......"(Romans 1:16)

It is not an overstatement to say that the gospel message is the most important message communicated on the face of this earth. In this simple message is the knowledge necessary for the salvation of our souls. In God's written communication to man, the Bible, we learn of the love and grace of God at the cross of calvary that can bring us forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God. We also learn that the power of God which raised Jesus from the dead is available to give us everlasting life and the capacity now to begin to live a new life in and through Christ. The cross of calvary and the empty tomb combine to teach us of the love and power of God to forgive our sins, transform our lives and give eternal life to every person who responds to God with faith and obedience. This is the gospel message and the doorway to beginning to experience God's love, goodness, protection and provision in our lives both now and forever.

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, {2} by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. {3} For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, {4} and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
