The
stated purpose for the presentation of this topic was to give an
overview of the evidence supporting the claim that the Bible is
inspired by God and is His written revelation to man. We believe
that we have set forth a compelling case to support this claim and
hope that many will embrace this point of view for themselves as
a result of the information provided.
However
to embrace this truth is not the end but actually it is just the
beginning. The ultimate purpose in working to bring others to this
point of view is to be able then to present other important truth
found within the pages of the Bible which is relevant to the life
of each person. It has been stated before that the purpose of this
web site is to help others understand and embrace God's love for
us, His will for our lives and the truth about life which is the
key to finding and keeping real happiness. In the Bible man is promised
great blessing, peace and hope of everlasting life when he embraces
these things through faith in Jesus God's Son. On the other hand
man is warned that he will experience tribulation, misery and wrath
if he rejects the truth. Nowhere in the New Testament is there room
for neutrality. The Bible holds out the prospect of the blessing
or the curse; life or death. Every person is either for or against,
but none will be permitted to remain uncommitted. Jesus said, "He
who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with
Me scatters." (Matthew 12:30) Knowing these things we cannot
remain silent but we warn every man urging all to give the spiritual
realities of life the highest priority in their own life.
In
Table Talk , part of the introductory pages of this web site, we
presented six important points which we believe are the heart and
soul of the New Testament message. In the first point we stated
that the Bible is God's word to man and in this present topic "God's
Word The Bible" we have presented the evidence to justify this
claim. Now in the next three topics found in the library, "A
Biblical World View", "Jesus God's Son" and "The
Gospel Message" we will explain the last five points in greater
detail and provide the biblical evidence to support what is presented.
Desiring that all embrace the blessing of God, especially regarding
personal salvation, and wishing that all avoid the curse which awaits
those who reject God, we urge every person to take advantage of
what has been provided here and to seek God sincerely and whole-heartedly.
Therefore,
having presented the facts regarding the inspiration of the Bible
and having provided in the following portions of this web site the
knowledge of God's love, God's will and the truth about life, in
conclusion, we encourage each reader to press on in further consideration
of these things. Finally, we invoke God's word as spoken by Moses
to impress upon the heart of all the gravity of the issues of which
we speak:
"I
call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have
set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose
life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, {20}
by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding
fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days..."
(Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
